The 5th Annual Eastern Ontario Garlic Festival is accepting applications from garlic growers, market farmers and producers, artisans, musicians, community groups and resources, and locally owned businesses related to wellness, and services.

Great news is with the generosity and shared resources in place through our partners and host to produce the event, our costs are lower and as a result so are the Vendor Registration Fee at only $50. Kozroots Community Empowerment Projects is so grateful to our partners for their support and resources.

Our host venue, Marlin Orchards and Garden Centre is a landmark, that has produced the Country Harvest Pottery Sale for decades, and also host the annual Trunk Show in it’s 10th year. The Eastern Ontario Garlic Festival is honoured to be partnering with this awesome philanthropic and community oriented business to showcase you and your original wares. talent, and fresh produce.

Marlin Orchard and Garden Centre has been a fixture in the region of South Eastern Ontario, located in the Township of South Glengarry for over 50 years. The family owned destination spot has offered locals and tourists beautiful local and imported gifts, local food, the freshest apples, the highest quality plants, give the best gardening advice, and cook up their not to be missed delicious hot apple donuts all day long. It is a place to be on any day, and we invite you to join us on Sunday, September 29th, 2019 to experience it for yourself as a vendor showcasing your local wares.

Along with the #eogarlicfest taking part in the activities is the Apples and Arts Studio Tours with a number of artists being featured on location at Marlin’s, with specials at the garden centre and apple picking!

Join us in this celebration of local food and community! Before you register please be certain you meet the requirements by reviewing the Qualification Criteria found below the vendor registration. In the case that the spaces are full prior to the deadline of September 5, 2019 the organizers will close the registration access. Garlic Growers can automatically be approved. Criteria to participate includes: that you are the grower, and are from Eastern Ontario. You are permitted to be represented by employees or volunteers associated with you farm or company. A number of Western Quebec Garlic Growers who participate in markets in Ontario are exempt.

To qualify as a vendor or exhibitor for this festival, all products or services must be grown or created in Eastern Ontario, using primarily Ontario produce, and/or supplies. Any vendor who registers and arrives at the event, but did not meet the criteria will not be permitted to set up. Note: The Eastern Ontario Garlic Festival is produced by volunteers with the purpose to showcase local food assets and community. We work on the foundation of kindness, inclusion, and collaboration. No profits are made through the production of the festival. We keep the registration fees low in order to make it accessible to all and charge only what is necessary to produce the annual event. The attendance is free, however we do welcome donations, and invite all participants to take part in our raffles on site.

Kozroots Community Empowerment Projects aims  to demonstrate how working in partnership we can truly reflect what our region is made of regarding agri food, art, non profit, and local businesses. All participants are asked to honour this perspective as we continue to build this unique event together. Thank you.

No refunds will be given to vendors who do not meet the criteria. No network marketing, or manufactured goods are permitted.

Qualification Criteria and Information

  • Read all information below before registering.
  • By reading and registering you are agreeing to all the terms. This is your contract with KCEP the organizers.
  • As a vendor for this festival, you have produced, or created all of your products, or services in Eastern Ontario, using primarily Ontario produce and/or supplies.
  • Vendors are responsible to bring all necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Non-Refundable, no exceptions.
  • As a vendor, you acknowledge that you are responsible for your own third party insurance, and may be asked to email a certificate to the producers.
  • Exhibitor spaces will be delegated to the producers based on registration date.  You will be given your space onsite at the event on September 29th upon your arrival.
  • No prepared food vendors other than the organizers are permitted at this event. Due to the restrictions with the Eastern Ontario Health Unit the organizers will be working with a certified caterers that cook with local food.
  • Vendors providing tasters, must complete the form on the EOHU link in the next bullet..
  • Eastern Ontario Health Unit Safe Food Vendor Requirements and Form.
  • All Edible Food Vendors must be pre=approved by organizers and the Eastern Ontario Health Unit.
  • Vendor and Exhibitor setup starts at 7:30 AM.  Strike down at 4:00 PM.You are required to stay until 4 PM.
  • Festival opens to the public at 10:00 AM at which time setup must be completed. Closes at 4:00 PM.
  • All vehicles must be moved to the designated vendor parking area at Marlin Orchards by 8:45 AM.
  • No vehicles will be permitted on the premises during the festival. 
  • All vendors are required to come to the orientation and opportunity to network on the grounds at 9:15 am.
  • As a vendor of the Eastern Ontario Garlic Festival you are required to agree to terms stated below.
  • You are granted a 12 x 12 space please note electricity is not available. You are required to have a ten by ten.
  • Pay the registration fee of $50, or qualify for a free space.
  • We Provide the Space Only.  Shelter, tables, chairs, etc. are the vendor’s responsibility.
  • As a vendor you will share your participation at the event on your social medias and use the hashtag #eogarlicfest.
  • Vendors who require refrigeration must bring coolers and ice.
  • The event will be held outdoors, in the event forecasted inclement weather the Festival will not be cancelled.  Rain or shine we are on.  
  • We ask that you only have the required number of people working at your booth.
  • Please NO pets on vendors’ site.
  • As a vendor, please decorate you booth. You are invited to take part in a Vendor Booth Decorating Contest. 
  • All participating vendors will be required to complete an evaluation on-site before departure as well as anonymously reporting their sales for the day (for internal purposes only). 
  • All participating vendors and volunteers are invited to contribute to the planning of the Eastern Ontario Garlic Festival. We ask you to contact us at eogarlicfest@gmail.com with any ideas, or ways you would like to contribute.
  • Community groups, contributing artists and buskers are also required to meet the above regulations.
  • The organizers have the right to decline vendor applicants who are not the right fit, or do not meet requirements.
  • No network marketing or retail businesses are permitted to register.
  • We are diversifying the vendors, with this we have limited space and may need to select particular producers to participate.
